Bookham public meeting on proposed Lower Shott development

June 24, 2008 16:09 by matthewp

We have previously written here about the alarming prospect of a proposed development which would see individual shops in Bookham's Lower Shott demolished to make way for yet another supermarket.

A recent survey of 1,569 Bookham residents has shown that 98.6% are against such a development, but since this was instigated by the Local Democrats its independance is questioned by some.

The Bookham Residents Association are convening a public meeting at 8PM on the 21st July 2008 at Bookham's Barn Hall for residents to be able to make their opinions known to the BRA, who are the 'official' voice for Bookham residents.

If you are not able to be there why not hand a written submission to your road steward or write to the BRA itself. Read more on the Bookham Bugle.
